I didn't think there was anything bad going on here so I just waited in the corner. We were doing uber tristram together, and he said he had to go into town to get some pots. I knew that you couldn't hold two torches in the inventory so thought I was safe. I had one to spare and it wasn't that useful for any runewords I needed so I thought it was a fair trade.īefore starting ubers, he showed in the trade window that he already had a torch in his inventory to "prove" that he couldn't steal the torch after it dropped. Some guy offered to do it as long as I paid him a Lem rune for it. Unfortunately, I play a paladin but I don't have the right gear to handle ubers, so I asked for some help on the diablo 2 discord page.
I spent almost a whole week farming keys, and finally got a set of 3x3 keys to do the ubers. I got scammed of a hellfire torch today (and a Lem too).
